英語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌演講稿
Recently I overheard a mother and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the departure. Standing near the security gate, they hugged and the mother said "I love you and I wish you enough"
The daughter replied, "Mom, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Mom" They kissed and the daughter left. The mother walked over to the window where I was seated. Standing there I could see she wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on her privacy but she welcomed me in by asking "Did you ever say goodbye to someone knowing it would be forever?"
"Yes, I have," I replied. "Forgive me for asking but why is this a forever goodbye?" "I am old and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is -- the next trip back will be for my funeral" she said.
"When you were saying goodbye, I heard you say 'I wish you enough'. May I ask what that means?" She began to smile "That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone".
She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail and she smiled even more. "When we said 'I wish you enough' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them".
Then turning toward me she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory --
I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more. I wish you enough happineto keep your spirit alive. I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loto appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.
She then began to cry and walked away. They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them.

“是的，“我回答道。請(qǐng)?jiān)徫覇?wèn)為什么是一個(gè)永遠(yuǎn)的再見(jiàn)?”我很老了，而她住得很遠(yuǎn)很遠(yuǎn)。我已經(jīng)面對(duì)著未來(lái)和事實(shí)的挑戰(zhàn)，那就是，當(dāng)她下次回來(lái)時(shí)將會(huì)是參加我的.葬禮�！彼f(shuō)到。
“當(dāng)你說(shuō)再見(jiàn)時(shí)，我聽(tīng)到你說(shuō) ‘ 我給你足夠的祝福’我可以問(wèn)這是什么意思嗎?”她開(kāi)始微笑，“那是上輩傳下來(lái)的祝福。我的父母過(guò)去說(shuō)這句話給每個(gè)人。她停頓了一下，看起來(lái)像是在試圖去回憶起什么細(xì)節(jié)，她的笑意更濃了。“當(dāng)我們說(shuō)‘我給你足夠的祝�！瘯r(shí)，我們是希望其他的人擁有一個(gè)充滿了美好事情的生活，以此支撐他們。
然后她轉(zhuǎn)向我開(kāi)始朗誦，讓我和她一起分享來(lái)自她記憶中的祝福
我祝福你擁有足夠的陽(yáng)光，保持你愉快的心態(tài)。我祝福你擁有足夠的雨露去感謝充足的陽(yáng)光。我祝福你擁有足夠的幸福，保持你的靈魂不死。我祝福你擁有足夠的痛苦，如此可以使得生活中的很小的快樂(lè)成為巨大的歡樂(lè)。我祝福你有足夠的收獲以滿足你的渴望。我祝福你失去的足夠多以感謝你所有的擁有。我祝福你說(shuō)足夠多的你好以得到你最后的再見(jiàn)。
她開(kāi)始哭泣并且走遠(yuǎn)了，他們花一分鐘去找到一個(gè)特殊的人去說(shuō)這些，你用一個(gè)小時(shí)去感謝他們，你用一天去愛(ài)他們，但是你卻要用一生去忘記他們。
