How Does Cellphone Change Our Life
We live in a world with high-tech products.Cellphone has been part of our life, it gets updated very fast. Unlike twentyyears ago that cellphone is owned by the adults, but now even a kid is equippedwith a cellphone. This high-tech product changes our life. It bringsconvenience to our life, but at the same time, the over use of the product letus miss something from our life.
Cellphone indeed facilitates our life. Wecan keep in touch with our friends any time anywhere instead of making anappointment. We can make new friends through QQ, getting knows what our friendsare doing right away. Before, if people miss their family, the first thing theydo is to write a letter and send it home, but now, they just pick up the phoneand call their parents, they can catch them immediately. How efficient the workis.
While the phone brings convenience, it doesharm to people’s life to some extent. Today as cellphone’s function has beenfulfilled, people share message from many ways, like QQ, blog and so on. Peoplelike to paste pictures on the social online world, they like to catch friend’sattention, so they take pictures as long as they want to. If a girl goes outfor dinner, the first thing she does is to take a picture of the food insteadof enjoying the food. Too much attention on the cellphone distracts people’sfocus on the enjoyment of life.
Cellphone brings positive and negativeeffect to our life, we should make use of it to facilitate our life, at thesame time, we keep focus on the enjoyment of real life, not the Internet world.
失敗者更需鼓勵(lì) Losers Need More Encouragement
When the national entrance examination is over, peoplealways pay more attention to those who are enrolled by colleges anduniversities. Those who failed the examination are treated coldly. Beingenrolled by colleges and universities is, of course, worth congratulating. Butgiving the successful candidates excessive praise and neglecting those whofailed the examination might send the wrong message: young people do not have abright future unless they go to college or university.
Teachers, parents and society, therefore, should givemore attention to students failing the examination. They are in more urgentneed of understanding, warmth and encouragement. We should tell them that to goto college is not the only way to success, and that, if they make enougheffort, they can still develop talents in other occupations that will servesociety.
Personally, the country’s economic developmentrequires not only specialized scientists and technical experts, but alsoknowledge-based workers and skilled laborers. After some vocational training, these senior high school students can also become backbones in their own fieldsand contribute their wisdom to our society.
How to Make Full Use of Our Summer Holiday
Summer holiday is coming again. It is apleased and relaxing period for most of students while it is also a boring anddull days. So, let’s try to make this holiday be meaningful and wonderful now.
First, it is necessary to make a planaccording to our goals and current conditions. The plan no only includes ourwish in entertainment, but also some plans of study. We need to keep learningwhile we are playing so that we will not feel empty in holiday and will notfeel hard to restart next semester. For example, if you are planning to take anEnglish exam in next semester, you can spend some of our leisure to review therelative knowledge. In addition, keep reading is really necessary and importantno matter where and when we are.
Second, going to travel or finding apart-time job if possible. To travel or to do a job in holiday is another wayto practice ourselves. We can get something from travel or work that we can notget in school or at our courses. However, do not spend the whole holiday intraveling or working so that we can get some time to relax and accompany ourfamily.
Finally,go home to accompany our parents as much as we can. This is a basic principleas a son or a daughter. Besides, our home is also one of the sources ofmotivation for us to start our new journey.
All in all, make full use of our limitedholiday as much as possible.
Habits and Changes
Some people love to change, and they look forward to new experiences. For them, following routines is tedious, they always want to do something new to have fun; while some others like to stay the same and make no change. According to them, try something new is risky, and sometimes they cannot even take the consequence of it. In my humble opinion, I think both have its own advantages and disadvantages.
For one thing, the people who don’t like to change usually have the personality of steady and calm. If you ever try to make friends with this kind of people, you will find that they will provide you with a sense of security and dependency. However, these kinds of people usually follow a fixed schedule; they don’t like to try new things. They may be quite upset if things don’t go according to plan, in this case, they will lose the opportunities to experience new stuff.
For another thing, the people who love to change also have advantages and disadvantages. They are willing to try new things, such as traveling to different countries, try a new recipe, or try to learn yoga. So they can broaden their horizon to some extent. They do not afraid of taking the risks and try to enjoy the most of life. But they usually lack of determination and perseverance, it seems that they can do everything; actually, they don’t know anything.
As far as I concern, both of these lifestyles are impractical, because nobody will stay the same forever, while nobody will always willing to try something new. For me, the ideal lifestyle is somewhere between these two lifestyles. I can live in the way I want to, and try the new ways too.
Can Online Course replace Traditional Course?
Since its rise, the internet has been playinga more and more important role in our daily life. From news and informationbrowsing to online entertainment, the tremendous convenience and efficiencybrought by internet is amazing. Thus, online course, as a part of internetutilization, has become a popular means of learning for many netizens.
Itis developing so fast, and the effects are so marvelous that many peoplebelieve that it will replace traditional course. In the first place, onlinecourse is much cheaper than traditional one, people will not have to pay a bigamount tuition fee, and the learning content is as splendid as traditional one.In the second place, online course is more convenience and flexibility. Thisvantage is beneficial to office people. They want to constantly improvethemself, but they need to work in daytime. Online course provide them a goodchance to study whenever they want. In the third place, if students want tolearn a higher education, they need to pass lots of exams, which means moretime, energy and money. To the contrary, if the Yale and Harvard Universityoffer open course for free, who would say no to it?
According to the points above, the potential of online course is so hugethat will certainly take a great share of the study way. But online coursestill needs some improvements to totally replace the traditional course.
We Should Against Domestic Violence
Li Yang, we know him as the founder of Crazy English, he was in the limelight few years ago, but now he is jump into the public eye again, for claiming himself as a spokesman of domestic violence. He make no secret of hitting his wife and said he would shot her if he had a gun in a speech. What was astonishing is, the listener applause after he said that. This behavior can be considered as a support for domestic violence, which I can’t agree with.
Firstly, as to the Li Yang’s statement, his wife had said something bad about China, which has ruin his ability of tolerance. Therefore, his use violence to stop this. In my point of view, people once get married, they should understand each other, especially for mixed marriage. If their opinions diverge from each other, they should work it out in a peaceful way, not in a violent way. The worst as well as the best way is divorce.
Secondly, domestic violence gets anything good for family. Regardless the emotion break due to the violence, if it get worse, bone broken could be happen. What’s more, if the family have child, parents quarrel or fight in front of their children, there is no doubt that the child will have an unforgettable childhood phobia, it’s probably that he or she will become a violent people. Therefore, couples should control their hot temper, and have a chill mind when they about to quarrel.
To speak frankly, we should against domestic violence. No matter who did the wrong thing or said the wrong word, violence can’t be the solution. We should feel shame about Li Yang’s statement of becoming a spokesman of domestic violence.
