About Opening Ceremony 關(guān)于開(kāi)學(xué)典禮
Today our school had an opening ceremony in the school auditorium. All the teachers and students as well as some famous scientists and government officials attended. Our principal made a speech. He hoped everybody in our school would work harder and make even more progress in the new term. "Three-good-deed" students were rewarded with prizes. Principal also announced that some honour students received Zhou Peiyuan scholarships because they had won medals in various competitions. A famous scientist then made a speech.He told the students about his learning experience and how he achieve success in his research work. I was so moved by what he said.

鄉(xiāng)村生活 Life in Village
The life in the village is very simple. In the daytime, people get up early. They make breakfast,clean the house and feed the animals. After breakfast, they go out and start their farm work. Sometimes, they stay outsideall the day. They come home until the sunset. Because of the hardwork, farmers usually go to sleep very early. They have to have a good rest to prepare for the next day.

Building a harmonious society 建設(shè)和諧社會(huì)
Dear fellow students,
Our government is going to build a "harmonious society". I think it is everyone's duty to work hard to achieve this goal.
As high school students, what should we do ?
First of all, we should love our motherland. Let's take a great interest in the development of our hometowns and take an active part in our school's activities.
Secondly, let's fill the world with love. We should show our respect for old people, our parents and our teachers. We should also care for each other and help those in need. Mostimportant of all, all of us must be faithful and honest in our daily life.
Finally, let's work together to save energy and protect our natural environment, including animals, trees, flowers and grass.
As for myself, I will study even harder and try my best to do all the above.

The Little Bird out of my Window 窗外的小鳥(niǎo)
Cold weather comes all of a sudden; I never realize that before I saw a bird knocking at the kitchen’s window for food. One night, my father told me there is a small bird standing on the wire outside my window. The wire is elongating close the wall, I turned on the light and found her.
突然間天氣變冷了；在我看到一只鳥(niǎo)敲打著廚房的窗戶(hù)找食物之前我從未意識(shí)到這一點(diǎn)。一天晚上，我爸爸告訴我，在我窗外的電線上站著一只小鳥(niǎo)。電線離墻很近，我打開(kāi)燈就發(fā)現(xiàn)她了。
She is tiny. Her tawny feather is not glossy, maybe in this cold day is hard to get herself feed. Her head curl in one of her wing, so that she can keep warm in the cold night. She is really not so adorable. Her feather color make her seems dirty, and the floor near my window has something that makes me feel uncomfortable, her cacation! I tried to fright her away, so did my father. But she seems like this wire, this refuge. I made noise and stroked the wall, she just turned her head.
她很小。褐色的羽毛并不光滑，也許在這寒冷的'日子里把自己喂飽也是件難事。她的頭卷進(jìn)了一邊翅膀，這樣她就可以在寒冷的夜晚保持溫暖。她真的不是那么的可愛(ài)。她的羽毛的顏色使她看起來(lái)臟兮兮的，而且在我窗口附近的地板上她的排便讓我感到很不舒服。我試圖嚇跑她，我爸爸也是。但她似乎很喜歡這根電線，她的避難所。我制造噪音，抓墻壁，她只是轉(zhuǎn)過(guò)頭去。
After that, I finally accept the fact that, I have to live with this ugly dirty little bird. As her neighbor, I start to care about her. She flies to the wild very early, as early as the sun does not show him in the horizon, the moon still hanging in the west! What’s more? She come back late at night. She must be work hard for food, but she is not growing, just as tiny as the first time, and her feather is still lusterless.
在這之后，我終于接受我要和這只丑丑的小鳥(niǎo)一起生活的事實(shí)。作為她的鄰居，我開(kāi)始關(guān)心她了。她很早就飛到野外去，早早到太陽(yáng)都還沒(méi)有出來(lái)，月亮仍然懸掛在西邊！還有就是她晚上總是回來(lái)得很晚。為了吃她必須努力工作，但是她卻沒(méi)有增大，仍然和第一次一樣小，她的羽毛也仍然沒(méi)有光澤。
Life is hard to this little creature too. However, her hard-working makes me respect. Winter comes very soon. I really hope that my tiny neighbor can survive, and I will greet spring with her.

The Relationship Between Modern Technology 現(xiàn)代科技與人類(lèi)的關(guān)系
In the modern time, the growth of technology is increasingly developed. More and more people don’t use their brains when there is no need to use other instruments. Too much people use technology so that people are lazier and less healthy than before. They rely on technology too much.
在當(dāng)今時(shí)代，技術(shù)發(fā)展得越來(lái)越發(fā)達(dá)了。在沒(méi)有必要使用其他工具時(shí)，越來(lái)越多的人不使用自己的大腦了。太多的人使用技術(shù)使得他們比以前懶惰和不健康。他們過(guò)分依賴(lài)技術(shù)。
Some believe that modern technology shorten the distance of human. For instance, people all use cellphone to call friends or family, or computer to search information, or use QQ, MSN, twitter, blog etc. These modern instruments shorten the distance between human.
有些人認(rèn)為，現(xiàn)代技術(shù)縮短了人與人之間的距離。例如，人們都用手機(jī)打電話給朋友或家人，或用計(jì)算機(jī)檢索信息，或用QQ，MSN，推特，博客等。這些現(xiàn)代工具縮短了人與人之間的距離。
However, others think that it’s just the reverse. Technology makes people use less face-to-face communication. The contact in real life is less and less. People do less interaction to each other. In the long term, people will get depressed without enough communication.
然而，其他人則不這么認(rèn)為�？萍际沟萌藗�?cè)絹?lái)越少地面對(duì)面交流。在現(xiàn)實(shí)生活中的接觸越來(lái)越少。人們之間的互動(dòng)也越來(lái)越少。遇見(jiàn)別人的人越來(lái)越少。從長(zhǎng)遠(yuǎn)來(lái)看，沒(méi)有充足的交流，人們會(huì)變得抑郁。
As far as I’m concerned, modern technology provides convenience to people. It makes people easily to get information. Only could we use it correctly, it does much contribution to us.
就我而言，現(xiàn)代科技給人們提供了方便。它使人們更輕易地獲取信息。只有我們能正確地使用它，它才能真正為人們服務(wù)。
