On Women's Day
Tomorrow is March 8th. It is Women's Day, so I want to give my mother a surprise. First I am going to the supermarket and buy something , such as vegetables , fruits and some beautiful flowers. Then I will come back home to clean the house and do some cooking. When Mum comes back from work, she will be really excited. She will say that I am a nice boy and have grown up. I will be happy, too. I think I'll help my mother more in the future.

Today is the "38" women's day, I got up early, took my pocket money, went out to buy gifts for grandma.
I went to the gift shop and picked it up for a while. Finally I thought it would be best to buy a flower for grandma. I chose a pale pink bottom, white carnation. I bought flowers and rushed back to my grandma's house for fear of freezing the flowers.
I send flowers to my grandmother and wish grandma health and happy holidays. Grandma smiled and said to me, "it's really grown up, you know how to be filial to grandma!" When I helped my grandmother put the flowers in the water, I found a budding flower bud near the big flower.
Today, I went to my grandma's house again, and found that the big flower was dying, and the flower bud next to it had opened its mouth. I asked my grandfather, "grandpa, this flower is dying, why don't you throw it away?" My grandfather replied, "although the flowers have withered away, the little flower bud is still trying to grow. If we throw it away, does it mean that we have abandoned a little life that we expect to grow up and grow up?" Grandpa paused, then added, "do you know why this flower died?" I shook my head. Women’s Union of Chicago demonstrated against the inequality between men and women. They demanded that they should have the same payments, the same working hours as men had, and they should have the rights to vote. They even put forward a slogan: Bread and Rose, which stood for equal payment and a better living standard. This demonstrated had caused international attention to the women’s rights. A year later, a critical meeting was held in Demark, in order to promote the women’s liberation and equal rights, the council members decided to establish the Women’s Day on March 8th. Then March 8th, 1911 just became the first Women’s day.

On 19 September 1893 New Zealand became the first country in the world to give women the right to vote. Women in other countries did not enjoy this equality and campaigned for justice for many years.
