China born and China bred, I love China very much. I’m proud that I have got the beautiful yellow skin, black eyes and black hair. I’m also proud that I speak the most beautiful language in the world——Chinese. When I heard that China, our motherland, would have a chance to hold the 20xx Olympic Games, I felt very happy and excited, and I hoped I could do something useful to build China into a beautiful and energetic country.
In the 21st century, the environment is becoming more and more important, so we have "Green Olympic" as a slogan. Of course a slogan is just a goal. The most important thing is that we should do some things to make it true. Such as sorting the trash, saving the energy and so on. We are still students now, so we cant do anything really big, but if everybody does something good for our environment, we could make our motherland more beautiful.
In fact, the things we can do are easy. Like not littering used batteries everywhere, sorting the trash that we want to throw away, and also protecting the animals and plants around us.
Luckily, I had a chance to take part in an activity, that is, we planted 5 trees everybody in our campus. My classmates and I worked very hard. This activity is not only about planting trees, but also contributing to our environment. Look at the trees, I believe, tomorrow there will be more trees and flowers standing in our campus and giving Chinese people a beautiful environment.
We are all Chinese people, living on the earth. We have only one motherland——China, just like we have only one earth. If we dont beautify our environment, who will? Good environment depends on good human consciousness. We should say that protecting our surroundings is not easy, thats why Im standing here to summon people do it.

We truly have everything in our lives to make us happy, but we have trouble recognizing it. Happiness does not come from material things, money or the love of an admirer. Yes, material things can make us happy; money is something nice to have; love from another person can bring lots of pleasure, but real happiness comes from our own minds. It is the art of being you.
我們的確已經(jīng)擁有生活中那些能夠令我們感到幸福的事,只是還未意識(shí)到。幸福并非來(lái)自物質(zhì)享受、金錢(qián)或仰慕者的喜愛(ài)。是的,物質(zhì)享受能夠令我們感到開(kāi)心;擁有金錢(qián)是件美事;來(lái)自仰慕者的喜愛(ài)給我們帶來(lái)愉悅,但真正的幸福來(lái)自我們內(nèi)心——"做自己"的藝術(shù)。
You can’t have everything you want, but you can have happiness by accepting all the good things in your life. The time we have on this earth is limited3, so take time to enjoy and appreciate a hot shower, the smell of a rose, the laughter of children and the feeling of the warm summer sun on your skin.
你無(wú)法擁有自己想要的一切,但接受生活中所有的美好仍可令你感到幸福。生命有限,因此請(qǐng)珍惜時(shí)間。享受一個(gè)熱水澡、玫瑰的芬芳、孩子的'笑聲和夏日陽(yáng)光灑在皮膚上的溫暖感覺(jué),并對(duì)這些心存感激。
The art of being you is to feel the gratitude4 and peace of being alive. Take a quiet moment to thank everything for allowing you to live on the earth to discover happiness. Once you do this, you will know the great value of the art of being you. What more can you ask for?
