Should Junior Students Ride Electrical Bicycle to School

Yesterday, our class had a discussion about whether junior students could ride electric bicycles to go to school. 25 students of our class agreed with it, because they said that it is convenient for them and it could take less time to go to school. If they took bus, sometimes the bus come late and it might make them late for school. But the other 35 students didn't agree with them. They said it is not safe for the junior students to get to school by electric bicycles, for they are too young. They also said in the morning the traffic was very busy and the students couldn't ride electric bicycles quickly. Besides, there are too much electric bicycles in the street now, they can get hurt easily.

  Reduce Waste on Campus

Nobody could have failed to notice the fact that wasting has become a grave problem in many campuses. In the dining hall, much food are left in the plates and dumped into the trash can. In the classroom, blank or half blank pieces of paper are left on the desks. In the dorm building, taps are left open and water left running or dripping all the time. And there can be more such examples.

In view of the expanding population and the shortage of various resources, wasting is really a harmful habit. It put strains on the already short supply of food, water, electricity and the like. Besides, it goes against traditional virtue of hard work and simple living and may leads to a luxurious life style, which is dangerous to the souls of mankind.

Therefore, it is high time that we take steps to stop wasting. We should start from trifles around ourselves: remember to turn off the tap when we finish washing; try to order the exact amount of food we can consume; never throw away any blank or half blank pieces of paper. And always remember, a penny saved is a penny earned.

When I was a child, my mother took out a candle every time there was a power failure at home. Then I asked curiously, "what is this?" "it's a candle." "What's the use of candles?" I always wanted to ask all the questions. "In a moment you will know." then mom lit the candle and the dark room became bright. Looking at the twinkling of candles, my heart suddenly became bright and warm. Almost at that time, I began to like candles.

He is very humble about candles. It has a white body and a red line at the top of it, which is the "core" of the candle. When people light candles, it drives out the darkness and coldness. What it brings to people is warmth and light. Candles burn slowly, people feel the joy brought by candles. Meanwhile, candles consume their lives little by little until the last moment of life. Candles have no regrets. I think they like candles because they have a kind of spirit, a kind of valuable spirit to burn themselves and illuminate others, and a kind of valuable spirit to dedicate themselves to others!

Our teachers are just like candles. They are willing to lose their youth and cultivate the "flower and bone" of our motherland. They teach us day after day, year after year. They grow old like half of the candles that are still burning. Put all my body and mind into our "flower and bone". I think their quality is the same as that of candles!

Of all the knowledge we have, some comes from the books we read, some comes from personal experience in our lives。 Different people attach different importance to different sources。 The young and the educated, for example, may emphasize the former, the old may, however stress the latter。 In my opinion, both book knowledge and personal experience are of equal importance。

Knowledge gained from experience may be firsthand, direct, and unforgettable。 Books in the library may be outdated, giving you useless information。 Everything is changing and so is knowledge。 If you go out to make on the-spot investigations instead of depending on books, it is likely that you may be pleasantly surprised。 Moreover, knowledge you get from your own experience will be everlasting。 Therefore, it is important that students get involved in practical activities to accumulate different kinds of experience。

Experience, however, is limited in terms of time and space。 It is impossible for anyone to experience everything to get the knowledge he needs。 In addition, society is developing so fast that new problems come up with surprising speed。 Over depending on experience could, therefore, make a person narrow minded and prejudiced。

Books are a summary of the wisdom of our ancestors。 The best way to gain know ledge is, of course, to read books, and in the meantime, participate in various kinds of practicaL activities。 A combination of the two will sure[y make us full and well informed。
