篇一：The Most Important Quality of a College Student
Many people describe their college years as the best time of their lives. However, not every student achieves the same level of success. This raise the question: What is the most essential quality needed to succeed in one’s higher education?
Personally, of all attributes that can contribute to a successful college career, the most important one is effective time management. To begin with, students who know how to manage their time effectively will be able to ensure strong academic performance. While getting high grades in by no means the only aspect of success for undergraduates, students who fail in most or all of their courses could hardly be considered successful. In addition, time-management consciousness can enable students to become more socially successful. University is not just an academic experience, but also a social one. Students who fail to budget their time and, in turn, fall behind in their studies, will have fewer opportunities to hang out with friends and classmates.
For the above reasons, I believe that time management is the most important quality for a college students.
大學(xué)生最重要的素質(zhì)

我認(rèn)為，在可以促成大學(xué)生活成功的品質(zhì)中，最重要的是有效的時(shí)間管理。首先，那些知道如何有效管理時(shí)間的學(xué)生也能夠保證較高的學(xué)業(yè)成績。雖然，對(duì)于大學(xué)生來說，高分并不是大學(xué)成功的唯一方面，但那些大多數(shù)科目或者全部考試不及格的學(xué)生幾乎也不會(huì)被認(rèn)為是成功的。另外，具有時(shí)間管理意識(shí)也能促進(jìn)學(xué)生在社交方面更加成功。大學(xué)不僅是學(xué)業(yè)經(jīng)歷，也是社會(huì)體驗(yàn)。那些沒有合理安排時(shí)間的學(xué)生在學(xué)習(xí)上也會(huì)被落下，也就沒什么機(jī)會(huì)跟他們的朋友和同學(xué)交往。
基于以上原因，我認(rèn)為時(shí)間管理技能是大學(xué)生最重要的素質(zhì)。

We Should Balance Our Love
Nowadays it is common to see that many parents focus their attention on their children, but leave their own parents without proper care. The most typical example is the phenomenon of empty nest seniors. This problem has aroused the public concern and has become the hot topic of many discussions.
Paying little attention to older parents can have serious consequences. First, the elderly often feel lonely and depressed if there is no child with whom they can talk, and this can have a bad effect on their mental health. Second, the aged parents with no children by their sides can have a lot of trouble in their daily life due to disease or old age.
In my opinion, we should take the following measures. Children should be encouraged to live with or near their old parents, which is very helpful for them to know their parents, concern and attend their daily life. And it is also necessary for them to create chances to communicate with their aged parents. Besides, our govemmeiit should strive to establish the service system for the elderly and expand its social insurance coverage among them.
