1. blur v. 變模糊;弄臟
blur with sth. 被……弄模糊
My vision blurred with fog.
我的視野被大霧弄得模糊不清。
2. bribe v. & n. **;收買，賄賂
take /offer a bribe **/** give /offer /hand out bribes to sb. 向某人**
bribe sb. into silence 用賄賂封住某人的嘴 be bribed into secrecy 受了賄替某人保密
The manager of construction company offer bribes to the mayor with 3 million yuan.

3. browse v. 瀏覽;隨意翻閱;放牧

4. brutal a. 殘酷的
跟brutal意思類似的還有幾個(gè)詞，它們的細(xì)微區(qū)別如下：
brutal 指極端殘忍，強(qiáng)調(diào)無情或缺乏同情心，含有不擇手段的意味。
cruel 一般性用詞，指行動(dòng)或態(tài)度的殘忍。
inhuman 著重指缺乏同情心、仁愛等人類特有的良好品質(zhì)。
savage 指缺乏文明人應(yīng)有的教養(yǎng)，尤指在動(dòng)怒或沖動(dòng)時(shí)表現(xiàn)出的粗野蠻橫，含野蠻意味。
fierce 指天性兇惡，令人害怕。

5. capsule n. 密封艙;太空艙;膠囊
These capsules are beneficial to the heart.

1. carve v. 刻;切開

2. casualty n. 傷亡人員

3. cater to v. 迎合;滿足

4. caution n. 小心;警示，慎重 v. 警告
表示警告、忠告的詞還有advise，warn，counsel等，它們之間有如下差別：
caution 主要針對(duì)潛在危險(xiǎn)提出警告，含有小心從事的意味。
advise 普通用詞，泛指勸告，不涉及對(duì)方是否聽從勸告。
warn 警告，含義與caution相同，但語氣較重，尤指嚴(yán)重后果。
counsel 正式用詞，語氣比advise強(qiáng)一些，側(cè)重指對(duì)重要問題提出的勸告、建議或咨詢。

5. cherish v. 珍視;懷有
cherish既可表示珍惜，也可表示懷有某種打算。
cherish an intention of doing sth.
Both of them cherish their hard-won marriage.
