　　1. contrive v. 謀劃;圖謀;設(shè)法想到;

　　contrive to do sth. 設(shè)法做某事;(不顧困難地)促成某事

　　manage to do sth 也表示設(shè)法做某事，說(shuō)的時(shí)候已經(jīng)成功做到，而contrive to do sth

　　通常說(shuō)的時(shí)候還沒(méi)有實(shí)行。

　　before he died.

　　據(jù)說(shuō)本拉登死前計(jì)劃襲擊美國(guó)四個(gè)城市。

　　2. converge v. 會(huì)合;聚集;

　　converge on 集中于

　　The two rivers converge here.

　　兩條河流在此相交。

　　3. cordial a. 熱情的

　　cordial 的近義詞還有passionate，hospitable，enthusiastic 等。

　　The president received a cordial welcome on his visit in Canada.

　　總統(tǒng)在加拿大訪問(wèn)期間受到了熱烈的歡迎。

　　4. corrupt a./v. 腐敗的;腐蝕;

　　The corrupt officials will be punished one day!

　　那些腐敗的官員總有一天會(huì)受到懲罰!

　　詞匯擴(kuò)展：跟腐敗相關(guān)的詞匯~ corruption n. 貪污 bribe v. 行賄 accept /take bribe 受賄

　　5. cozy a. 舒適的

　　cozy 是美式拼法，cosy 是英式拼法，二者意思一樣，它的同義詞是comfortable。
