Teachers often make mistakes, describe the most common mistakes teachers often make.
Well, there are many mistakes that teachers tend to make. For example, they tend to focus on their lesson plans rather than students’ learning. Teachers are desperate to keep students busy. They just follow the procedure, like grammar instruction, vocabulary work, then a class novel, and so on. They totally forget about the learning process of the students. Additionally, teachers don’t call students’ parents. Actually, lots of teachers find it uncomfortable to contact parents. Parent contact is beneficial since it can make sure that teachers and parents are on the same page, working in the child’s best interest. Interactions with parents will be very conducive to students’ educational experience.

Some kids like to do indoor activities while others prefer to do outdoor activities, which one do you prefer when you were a child?
Personally, I like to get out and have fun when I was a kid, Actually, when I was a kid, I used to go outdoors and do outdoor activities together with my dad, like climbing mountain, go fishing, go boating or canoeing. However, if I chose to stay indoors, I feel like I would be bound by the activities that I could do. There is nothing fun to stay indoors, one can only play some chess or some card games, which are very boring. It is much more exciting and relaxing to do activities outdoors, since I have a chance to breath fresh air and I am not bound by the limited space indoors.

Conversation1: Student and his history professor
學(xué)生去找professor問(wèn)關(guān)于research paper里面的resource的事情。Professor 提到了 first resource & second resource。并且舉例告訴了學(xué)生各是什么樣的信息來(lái)源,像一些Letters, lectures, data。學(xué)生提到自己的topic是要寫(xiě)immigrants in US,里面會(huì)涉及到work and settlements,并且要與Germany 和France進(jìn)行比較。 Professor提醒學(xué)生要注意兩種resource的結(jié)合運(yùn)用。
Lecture1: Ants ‘work allocation
先講了insects的基本生活習(xí)性,后面具體講到ants colony。 Ants會(huì)有一個(gè)queen去做一些評(píng)估分配,重點(diǎn)提到了ants’ work allocation, 有去patrolling,有去forage,還有一些for maintenance,他們會(huì)based on their current conditions 去改變和調(diào)整。然后詳細(xì)講解了ants怎么去patrolling,怎么去forage。并且通過(guò)一些他們的完成度可以去看他們更適合哪個(gè)role。但是這種習(xí)慣只適用于這種ants,每種都有their own different ways。
Lecture2: Brain function
講了brain 在我們體內(nèi)的重要性,并且有不同的functions的體現(xiàn)。提到了一種重要作用是FMRI (magnetic resonance imaging),對(duì)于memory有重要影響。提到了另一個(gè)要素prefrontal cortex,對(duì)于具體memorize的作用分成2種type,有對(duì)language 和meaning的影響。
Conversation2: Student and professor
professor 找學(xué)生說(shuō)他的club的事情。學(xué)生的cooking club不太合乎規(guī)定,需要填一些paper來(lái)達(dá)到official club的規(guī)定。學(xué)生用另外一個(gè)hiking club的例子來(lái)講專業(yè)正規(guī)的club的那些規(guī)模設(shè)備問(wèn)教授都是怎么來(lái)的。Professor說(shuō)了申請(qǐng)后就可以,并且質(zhì)疑了學(xué)生的cooking club不能只邀請(qǐng)自己的friends & classmates參加,要面向更多的群體;并且要確定meeting location。學(xué)生說(shuō)都在計(jì)劃中。
Lecture3:Various paper of artwork
先提到了water color對(duì)于artwork的作用。其中有一個(gè)重要特性是flute。 如果想要artwork more adorable,要選擇light 性質(zhì)的color。 有一些特殊的paper有fludsive material 影響。后面提到了digital technique的2種特征,可以spread all over the world,另外比較好preserve。教授讓學(xué)生keep in mind什么樣的artwork要選什么樣的paper。
Lecture4:Sand dunes
先講到soil的一些特性。具體提到了sand dune。 一般sand dune的out layer是比較dry, less moisture并且比較松的。Inside layer 是相反的。講到了desert里面關(guān)于sounds的一些特征。中間有與學(xué)生的對(duì)話,學(xué)生用自己的宿舍作為例子說(shuō)了關(guān)于echo的一些解釋。
