大數(shù)據(jù)(big data)指規(guī)模巨大且復(fù)雜，用現(xiàn)有的數(shù)據(jù)處理工具(on-hand database management tools)難以獲取(capture)、整理( curate)、管理( manage)以及處理(process)的數(shù)據(jù)信息統(tǒng)稱(chēng)。大數(shù)據(jù)的特點(diǎn)可以總結(jié)為4V：volume(大量)、velocity(高速)、variety(多變)、veracity(準(zhǔn)確)。
大數(shù)據(jù)是網(wǎng)絡(luò)信息技術(shù)與經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)各領(lǐng)域深度融合的產(chǎn)物，對(duì)于未來(lái)的互聯(lián)網(wǎng)生態(tài)(internet ecosystem)、創(chuàng)新體系(innovation system)、產(chǎn)業(yè)形態(tài)(industrial forms)乃至社會(huì)治理結(jié)構(gòu)(social governance structure)等都將產(chǎn)生革命性的影響。
工信部將推進(jìn)公共數(shù)據(jù)開(kāi)放和基礎(chǔ)數(shù)據(jù)資源跨部門(mén)、跨區(qū)域共享(trans-departmental, trans-regional sharing of basic data)，優(yōu)先推動(dòng)信用、交通、醫(yī)療、衛(wèi)生、就業(yè)等領(lǐng)域的數(shù)據(jù)向社會(huì)開(kāi)放(promote the openness and sharing of data in sectors such as credit, transportation, health and employment)。研究制定工業(yè)大數(shù)據(jù)發(fā)展路線圖，推動(dòng)大數(shù)據(jù)和制造業(yè)融合發(fā)展。同時(shí)加強(qiáng)安全監(jiān)管，嚴(yán)厲打擊非法泄露和出賣(mài)個(gè)人數(shù)據(jù)行為，維護(hù)網(wǎng)絡(luò)數(shù)據(jù)安全(enhance supervision and surveillance of data, and strictly crack down on illegal practices such as data leaks and the selling of personal information)。
