1.not…at all 根本不，一點(diǎn)也不
我一點(diǎn)兒也不同意你的觀(guān)點(diǎn)。
I don’t agree with you at all.
2.neither…nor…既不…也不
他和我都沒(méi)有去參加昨天晚上的晚會(huì)。
Neither he nor I went to the party last night.
3.keep / make sth./ sb +adj. 保持/使某物怎么樣
請(qǐng)保持教室的清潔。
Please keep the classroom clean.
4.not only…but also… 不但…而且
不但你而且他都要去老年之家作志愿者。
Not only you but (also) he is going to volunteer at the old people’s home.
幫助別人不但讓我感覺(jué)好，而且我可以有機(jī)會(huì)去做我喜歡做的事情。
Not only do I feel good about helping others, but (also) I get to spend time doing what Ilove to do.
5.not…until… 直到…才
今天早上直到九點(diǎn)鐘他才起床。 He didn’t get up until nine o’clock this morning.
6.so …that… 如此…以至于…( 加從句)
當(dāng)?shù)厝苏f(shuō)英語(yǔ)說(shuō)得太快，我們根本聽(tīng)不懂。
The native people spoke English so fast that I couldn’t understand them.
7.such (a) +adj.+n. that… 如此…以至于… ( 加從句)
那是一部很有趣的電影，我看了兩遍。
It is such an interesting movie that I have seen it twice.
= The movie is so interesting that I have seen it twice.
8.spend…on/(in)doing sth. 在某事上花時(shí)間/ 花時(shí)間做某事
你們每周花多長(zhǎng)時(shí)間從事體育活動(dòng)?
How long do you spend on sports every week?
= How long do you spend playing sports every week?
9.stop sb. (from) doing sth. 阻止某人做某事
什么也不能阻止我們實(shí)現(xiàn)我們的夢(mèng)想。
Nothing can stop us (from) achieving /realizing our dreams.
10.stop to do /stop doing 停下來(lái)做某事/ 停止做某事
學(xué)生們學(xué)了兩個(gè)小時(shí)了，有必要讓他們停下來(lái)休息一下。
The students have studied for two hours. It’s necessary for them to stop to have a rest.
21.prefer sth / doing sth. to sth / doing sth. 和…相比更喜歡…
和咖啡相比，我更喜歡喝茶。
I prefer tea to coffee.
= I prefer drinking tea to drinking coffee.
22.The +比較級(jí)…, the +比較級(jí)…, 越…就越…
---你期待我何時(shí)回來(lái)?---越快越會(huì)。

24.What’s wrong / the matter with…? …怎么了?
他的自行車(chē)怎么了?
What’s wrong/ the matter with his bike?
25.What about / How about + doing/ + sth.…? …怎么樣?
既然你沒(méi)事做，今天晚上和我一起去看電影怎么樣?
What about going to the movie with me tonight as you have nothing to do?
26.see / hear / watch / notice sb. do (doing) sth. 看見(jiàn) / 聽(tīng)見(jiàn)某人做某事 /正在做某事
能聽(tīng)見(jiàn)她在隔壁房間里唱歌嗎? Can you hear hersinging next door / in the next room?
27.sth. be two meters (years) long (old) …兩米長(zhǎng) /…兩歲大
長(zhǎng)城大約6,700 千米長(zhǎng)。
The Great Wall is about 6,700 kilometers long.
