2016雅思聽力備考：連詞

　　談及連詞“and”，相信同學們對于這個單詞的熟悉程度絕對不會亞于上篇文章里所介紹的介詞“of”。簡單來說，它是一個連詞，用法非常之靈活，主要用來連接兩個或兩個以上的單詞、短語甚至句子。“and”的用法主要有兩種，一表并列，二表順承�，F(xiàn)在就讓我們一起來感受一下這兩種用法在雅思聽力的解題環(huán)節(jié)中所起到的重要作用!

　　1.并列：

　　According to George Bernard Shaw, men are supposed to understand 31………., economics and finance. (C5-T1-S4)

　　相信同學們在一開場就看見section4的題目時，內心一定是拒絕的。但在這道題目里，and就發(fā)揮了非常大的作用。同學們可以觀察一下and的前后，會發(fā)現(xiàn)已給出的兩個單詞都有一個共性，即都是學科名詞。那么根據(jù)and表并列的特點，我們可以推斷出，此處空格需要填的也必定是一個學科名詞。于是在這時候，同學們就可以開始搜索出腦海內所有與學科名詞相關的單詞，悉心等待著這個單詞的出現(xiàn)。而這道題所對應的音頻“A man is supposed to understand politics, economics and finance…”，也確確實實證明了我們的預測。

　　2.順承：

　　原文: Woman: Well, you pay a £250 joining fee and then it’s £450 -- oh no, I’ m sorry, it’ s just gone up by £50, sorry about that-it’ s now £500 for the annual subscription fee.

　　在此段原文里，大家可以看到，這道題目的答案£500是在定位詞the annual subscription fee出來之前被先行念出的，所以稍不留神，同學們就有可能錯過正確答案。因此在這種情況下，“and”的順承作用就顯得非常關鍵!在“and”出來的那一刻起，我們就要知道，上面部分的內容已經(jīng)結束，下面部分的內容即將開始，需要我們打起十二萬分的精神去細心聽題。

　　由上述例子可見，連詞“and”能夠幫助我們提前預測出填空題的詞性，同時也能引導我們順利跟上音頻的步伐。但是,同學們請注意!雅思聽力酷愛挖坑，其中最樂此不疲的一個環(huán)節(jié)就屬同義替換大法!作為出現(xiàn)頻率如此之高的一個單詞，and自然沒能逃脫“魔爪”。在聽力真題內對其進行的各種替換也著實增加了考試的難度系數(shù)!因此，為了讓同學們對“and”的各種替換有所準備，我們今天就來簡單總結一下它的幾種主要替換形式。

　　例1. Cardboard, coloured pens and a 25………… (C4-T4-S3)

　　原文: … and coloured each one in using different colours, then you thread a piece of string ... So we'd need some string as well.

　　此道題目中, and=as well

　　例2. as sports 13............and equipment on floor 1-3 (C9-T1-S2)

　　原文:The first three floors have a huge range of sports clothing as well as equipment…

　　此道題目中，and=as well as

　　例3. All managers need to understand their employees and recongnise their company’s 28................... (C7-T1-S3)

　　原文: Well, managing people means you not only have an understanding of your employees, but youalso recognize the culture of the organization.

　　此道題目中，and=not only…but also…

　　4.The Castle Road library has books on sociology, together with 22………….and other resources….

　　原文: But the Castle Road site has books on the sociology of education and a collection of textbooks and teaching resources covering most of subjects taught in secondary schools.
