1.Efficiency 效率
A: What is the efficiency of this product line?
B: It’s about 85%.
A：這個生產(chǎn)線的效率是多少?
B：差不多85%。
2.Labor costs 人工成本
A: Why do we have such high labor costs?
B: Our labor workers were from the state ownedenterprise.
A：我們的人工成本怎么這么高啊?
B：我們的工人是從國企來的。
3.Lean manufacturing 精益制造
A: Why do we need lean manufacturing?
B: Very simple， to cut the costs and increase the efficiency.
A：我們?yōu)槭裁葱枰嬷圃彀?
B：很簡單，為了節(jié)約成本，提高效率。
4.Power consumption 能源消耗
A: What is the power consumption for your plant?
B: Ten thousand KWH each day.
A：你們工廠的能源消耗怎么樣?
B：每天一萬千瓦小時。
5.PPM 百萬分之一件
A: What is your PPM?
B: Our PPM is 25.
A: That’s great.
A：你們的PPM是多少?
B：我們的PPM是25。
A：很好。
Note：PPM means part per million， usually a measure of quality.

6.Inspection gages and fixtures 檢測量具和夾具
A: Who is going to design the inspection gages and fixtures?
B: It will be the Stone Company.

7.Shift 輪班
A: How many shifts do you have?
B: Three shifts a day.

A: Is this the Testing Area of the plant?
B: You are right. We do part of the quality testing here.

10.Working conditions 工作條件
A: Are they satisfied with the working conditions?
B: Some are， and some aren’t.
