Frau TrudeJacob and Wilhelm Grimm Once upon a time there was a small girl who was strong willed and forward, and whenever her parents said anything to her, she disobeyed them. How could anything go well with her? One day she said to her parents: I have heard so much about Frau Trude. Someday I want to go to her place. People say such amazing things are seen there, and such strange things happen there, that I have become very curious. Her parents strictly forbade her, saying: Frau Trude is a wicked woman who commits godless acts. If you go there, you will no longer be our child. But the girl paid no attention to her parents and went to Frau Trudes place anyway. When she arrived there, Frau Trude asked: Why are you so pale? Oh, she answered, trembling all over, I saw something that frightened me. What did you see? I saw a black man on your steps. That was a charcoal burner. Then I saw a green man. That was a huntsman. Then I saw a blood-red man. That was a butcher. Oh, Frau Trude, it frightened me when I looked through your window and could not see you, but instead saw the devil with a head of fire. Aha! she said. So you saw the witch properly outfitted. I have been waiting for you and wanting you for a long time. Light the way for me now! With that she turned to girl into a block of wood and threw it into the fire. When it was thoroughly aglow she sat down next to it, and warmed herself by it, saying: It gives such a bright light!

Cinderella is a beautiful girl. She has two ugly stepsisters. They are not kind to Cinderella. Cinderella does all of the work. She must cook, clean and do everything.
灰姑娘是個美麗的女孩。她有兩個繼母生的丑姊姊。這兩個姊姊對灰姑娘很不好。所有的事都得要灰姑娘做。她必須煮飯、洗衣，什么事她都要做。
Cinderella cant go to the party because she doesnt have beautiful clothes. Her stepsisters have beautiful clothes. They look very happy. Cinderella is very sad.
灰姑娘不能參加宴會，因為她沒有漂亮的衣服。她兩個姊姊卻有漂亮衣服。她們的表情好愉快�；夜媚飩耐噶�。
Cinderellas stepsisters leave the house. They are going to the princes party. Cinderella cries. She also wants to go to the party. Suddenly, a woman shows up. She is a kind fairy.
灰姑娘的兩個姊姊出門了。她們要參加王子的宴會�；夜媚锟蘖�。她也想去赴宴。突然間，有一位女士出現(xiàn)了。她是個好心的仙女。
"Dont worry," says the fairy. "You can go to the princes party." "I cant go," cries Cinderella. "I dont have a nice dress."

"It will be all right," says the fairy. "Go get a pumpkin, six mice and a rat." Cinderella quickly finds them. "What will you do?" Cinderella asks. The fairy waves her wand over the pumpkin.
“沒關(guān)系，”仙女說�！碧嫖艺乙粋�南瓜，六只家鼠及一只田鼠來。”灰姑娘很快就找到這些東西�！蹦趺醋�？”灰姑娘問道。仙女把魔棒在南瓜上面揮了一下。
The pumpkin is now a beautiful silver coach. The fairy waves her wand over the six mice. She changes them into six strong men. The six men will walk with the coach. Then the fairy changes the rat into a man. He is the driver of the coach.
南瓜現(xiàn)在變成了華麗的銀馬車。仙女把魔棒在六只老鼠上面揮了一揮。她把他們變成六名壯漢。這六名壯漢會跟著馬車一塊走。接著，仙女再把田鼠變成一名男子，他成了馬車夫。
The coach is beautiful, but Cinderella still looks sad. "I still cant go to the party. My dress is too ugly," she says. "Dont worry," says the fairy. She waves her wand and makes Cinderellas dress beautiful.
馬車很華麗，可是灰姑娘仍然一副悲傷的模樣�！蔽疫�是去不了宴會。我的衣服很丑，”她說�！眲e擔(dān)心，”仙女說道。她揮了揮魔棒，便把灰姑娘的衣服變得很漂亮了。
Now Cinderella has a nice dress. It is gold and very pretty. Her shoes are made of glass. Cinderella is so beautiful. She can go to the party.
現(xiàn)在灰姑娘有了象樣的衣服，是黃金做的，很漂亮。她的鞋是玻璃做的�；夜媚锬诱婷�，可以赴宴去了。
"You must leave the party before twelve oclock," says the fairy. "At 12:00 the magic will end."
"I will be back before twelve oclock," says Cinderella. She gets into the coach to go to the party.
“你必須在十二點以前離開宴會，”仙女說�！笔c時，法力就會消失�！�
“我會在十二點以前趕回來，”灰姑娘說。她上了馬車赴宴去了。
The princes palace is full of people. They are all happy to be at the big party. All the girls want to marry the prince. Then Cinderella walks into the palace. "Who is she?" everyone asks. "Shes so beautiful," they say.
王子的宮殿擠滿了人。他們各個都很高興參加這個盛大的宴會。所有的女孩子都想嫁給王子。這時灰姑娘走入皇宮�！彼钦l呀？”每個人都問道�！彼妹�，”他們都說。
The prince sees Cinderella. He asks her to dance with him. All night long they dance and talk. The prince and Cinderella fall in love. At twelve oclock, Cinderella runs out of the palace.
王子看到了灰姑娘。他邀請她與他共舞。他們整晚都在跳舞聊天。王子與灰姑娘墜入情網(wǎng)了。十二點時，灰姑娘跑出了宮殿。
Cinderella runs and loses one of her glass shoes. She must get home before twelve. She is late. She runs into the house. Now, she is wearing her old dress again.
灰姑娘跑呀跑的，掉了一只玻璃鞋。她必須在十二點前趕回家。她遲到了。她跑進(jìn)家門�，F(xiàn)在，她身上穿的又是原來的那一件舊衣服。
The prince finds Cinderellas shoe. "I know this shoe. It belongs to that beautiful girl. Ill find her," he says. The next morning, he goes from house to house to find her. He goes to Cinderellas house. The two ugly stepsisters try on the shoe, but their feet are too big.
王子發(fā)現(xiàn)了灰姑娘的那只鞋�！蔽矣浀眠@只鞋，它是那位漂亮姑娘的。我要找到她，”他說。第二天早上，他便挨家挨戶去找她。他來到灰姑娘的家。兩個丑姊姊試穿這只鞋，不過她們的腳太大了。
"Can I try it on?" asks Cinderella. "Yes," the prince says, so Cinderella tries the shoe on. It fits her foot. "I have found my princess," the prince says. Soon Cinderella and the prince get married. They live happily ever after.
“我可以試穿嗎？”灰姑娘問道�！笨梢�，”王子說，于是灰姑娘就試穿那只鞋。鞋很合腳。”我已經(jīng)找到我的妃子了，”王子說�；夜媚锖屯踝雍芸旖Y(jié)了婚。他們從此過著幸福的生活。
