我們把略讀也可稱(chēng)為跳讀或者瀏覽。這是一種專(zhuān)門(mén)的非常實(shí)用的快速閱讀的技能。而所謂的略讀，實(shí)指盡可能快的閱讀，迅速地獲取文章的大意或主題思想。也就是說(shuō)略讀要求讀者有選擇地進(jìn)行閱讀，可以跳過(guò)某些不必要的細(xì)節(jié)，而抓住文章的大概，從而加快閱讀的速度。
我們?cè)谶M(jìn)行略讀訓(xùn)練時(shí)要注意以下技巧：
(1)要利用排版格式，如書(shū)或文章的標(biāo)題、副標(biāo)題、小標(biāo)題、斜體字、黑體字腳注、標(biāo)點(diǎn)符號(hào)等。對(duì)書(shū)和文章進(jìn)行預(yù)測(cè)略讀。預(yù)測(cè)略讀要了解作者的思路、文章方式，以把握大意、有關(guān)的細(xì)節(jié)極其相互關(guān)系。
(2)以一般速度閱讀。閱讀文章開(kāi)頭的一、二段，力求抓住文章的大意、背景情況、作者的文章風(fēng)格、口吻或語(yǔ)氣等
(3)閱讀段落的主題句和結(jié)論句。聚統(tǒng)計(jì)，大約有80%的主題句是段落的首句，其他20%左右的是尾句。因此我們往往可以通過(guò)閱讀每段的首句或尾句來(lái)了解整篇文章的大意。
(4)注意關(guān)聯(lián)詞，如轉(zhuǎn)折詞however, moreover,序列詞firstly, secondly 等.
