好的時(shí)光時(shí)間總是過得那么快，一晃大學(xué)四年生活已悄然而過，在**大學(xué)四年的求學(xué)生涯中，我一直堅(jiān)持明禮誠信、愛國守法、堅(jiān)持實(shí)事求是的思想和作風(fēng)，勇于追求真理，具有強(qiáng)烈的愛國主義情感和高度的社會責(zé)任感。在日常的`生活和學(xué)習(xí)中，我能夠做到團(tuán)結(jié)同學(xué)、樂于助人，這些好的習(xí)慣有了很大的收獲，大學(xué)生活得磨練也使我更加堅(jiān)強(qiáng)，一下就是自我鑒定。
寒窗數(shù)載，在**大學(xué)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的關(guān)懷，老師的指導(dǎo)，同學(xué)的幫組下，在那獨(dú)特的人文氣息的熏陶中，我刻苦努力、自強(qiáng)不息，一直保持著強(qiáng)烈的求知欲和學(xué)習(xí)意識，一方面加強(qiáng)專業(yè)知識的系統(tǒng)學(xué)習(xí)，以提高自己的專業(yè)技能，另一方面我也注重個(gè)人多方面的能力培養(yǎng)、豐富閱歷、開闊視野、鍛煉自我，為適應(yīng)當(dāng)今紛繁多變、充滿挑戰(zhàn)與機(jī)遇的社會做好充分的準(zhǔn)備。

i am a third year master major in automation at shanghai jiao tong university，p. r. china. with trem and ous interest in industrial engineering，i am writing to apply for acceptance into your ph.d. graduate program.
education background
in 1995，i entered the nanjing university of science & technology（nust）—— widely considered one of the china’s best engineering schools. during the following undergraduate study，my academic records kept distinguished among the whole department. i was granted first class prize every semester，in 1999，i got the privilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admission test.
at the period of my graduate study，my overall gpa（3.77/4.0）ranked top 5% in the department. in the second semester，i became teacher assistant that is given to talented and matured students only. this year，i won the acer scholarship as the one and only candidate in my department，which is the ultimate accolade for distinguished students and owed by my university. presently，i am preparing my graduation thesis and trying for the honor of excellent graduation thesis.
research experience and academic activity
when a sophomore，i joined the association of ai enthusiast and began to narrow down my interest for my future research. with the tool of opengl and matlab，i designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. it is now widely used by different research groups in nust. i assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & dispose project for nanjing sewage treatment plant. this was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.
in retrospect，i find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience，which has prepared me for the ph.d. program. my future research interests include：network scheduling problem，heuristic algorithm research（especially in ga and neural network），supply chain network research，hybrid system performance analysis with petri nets and data mining.
