找出先行詞→將先行詞代入定語從句,觀察還原后的句子是否完整或還需添加適當(dāng)?shù)慕樵~或副詞→確定先行詞指人或指物,并選擇相應(yīng)的關(guān)系代詞或關(guān)系副詞.

1、定語從句有限制性定語從句與非限制性定語從句,其明顯差別為含非限制性定語從句的復(fù)合句在主句與從句之間有逗號.
2、在限制性的定語從句中,如果從句中的介詞或副詞提至從句的最前面,那么關(guān)系代詞只能用which或whom,當(dāng)然這里還可使用關(guān)系副詞where.
3、先行詞既可指人又可指物,在從句中既可做主語又可做賓語的關(guān)系代詞that和which在用法上的不同應(yīng)當(dāng)明確,其中非常重要的一點為在非限制性的定語從句中是不能用that的.
4、關(guān)系代詞as的用法.
1）在限制性定語從句中.如果先行詞有the same或such修飾,而且先行詞在從句中做主語或賓語,關(guān)系代詞用as.要學(xué)會區(qū)別"the same…as…"與"the same…that…".而"such…as…"與"such…that…"的不同,可以通過例句感知、歸納,如：

�、� The newspaper is such a popular daily _______ we all love to read it.
例句①里的a daily在從句中做read的賓語,所以是一個定語從句,應(yīng)填as；
例句②里的a daily在從句中中不做任何成分,從句動詞read已有賓語it,從句句意完整,是一個結(jié)果狀語從句,應(yīng)填that.
2）在非限制性定語從句中.as引導(dǎo)的從句指代整個主句,位置非常靈活,可以放在主句的前面、后面或者中間,而在非限制性定語從句中同樣可以指代整個主句的關(guān)系代詞which引導(dǎo)的定語從句只能放在主句的后面.
