I want to be a doctor
When I was very young, my grandma was often ill. She often went to see the doctor. But it could not help her to get well. That was a problem. So I wanted to be a doctor to let my grandma be healthy.
Now I'm 15 years old. I'm studying in Wangcun Middle School in Jiangshan. My favourite person is Florence Nightingale. She is a famous nurse. And I like Henrry Norman Bethune,too. I'm sure I can be a famous doctor like them when I grow up.
I will be 20 years old. I'm going to work in a big and famous hospital. Then when I am 30 ,I'll have a hospital of my own. So I can help more people like my grandma get well all over the world . I'm sure I will,believe me!

在我很小的時(shí)候，奶奶經(jīng)常生病。她經(jīng)常去看醫(yī)生。但并沒(méi)有讓她變好。這是一個(gè)問(wèn)題。所以我想成為一名醫(yī)生，讓我的奶奶變得健康。
現(xiàn)在我已經(jīng)15歲了。我在江山王村中學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)。我最喜歡的人是弗洛倫斯·南丁格爾。她是一個(gè)著名的護(hù)士。我也喜歡亨利諾爾曼白求恩。我想我長(zhǎng)大后能成為一個(gè)像他們那樣著名的醫(yī)生。

Honor or disgrace wide-angle lens
Scene one: It was the last lap of the boys' 100-metre race! All the runners were trying their best to run fast. Suddenly, Wang Qiang, the runner from Class 2, fell and hurt his leg. But he didn't give up. Instead, he got up and went on running to the finishing line. All the teachers and students shouted "Come on!" to him and spoke highly of him. I think we should learn from Wang Qiang--Never give up, and try our best to do well in everything. Scene two: But out of the playground, a few of the students were talking and laughing loudly. Some students were even playing cards under the trees. It seemed that the sports meeting had nothing to do with them. Some food and drinks were not eaten or drunk up but wasted. Lots of litter could also be seen here and there. I think everyone should take an active part in the sports meeting. It is also our duty to protect the environment around us.
榮辱廣角鏡

The 2008 Olympic Games, and me
The year of 2008 is getting closer and closer to us. We need to take actions from now on to prepare for the game. What we need to do most is to work on our disadvantages and shortcomings. As a student of Senior high, I can do my own part. Although I can’t transform our city into more a beautiful place on my own, I can help Beijing in small ways and encourage our classmates and people around me to follow my lead.

2008年離我們?cè)絹?lái)越近了，我們必須從現(xiàn)在開(kāi)始采取行動(dòng)，來(lái)為奧運(yùn)會(huì)做準(zhǔn)備。我們最需要做的，是克服缺點(diǎn)和改進(jìn)不足之處。作為一名高中生，我們可以做我們力所能及的事情。雖然我不能光靠我自身的力量把這座城市妝點(diǎn)得更美麗，但我可以用自己的方式，來(lái)改變北京并且鼓勵(lì)我的同學(xué)們和我周圍的人和我一起做。

Let me take the environment for example, the atmosphere around Beijing is quite disappointing, factories and cars keep giving off exhausts into the air, we can hardly see the blue sky with our naked eyes, because the sky is covered with a thick layer of harmful substances. The sky is gray instead of blue. To our delight, the government has passed some laws of protecting the air, and we can do something useful, too. For example, whenever we go out for a long distance, ride the bike or take the buses and subways instead of taxis. You may not have a clue how it works. Of course doing that only by one person is far from enough, but we can let more people do that together. In that case the result may be more than we bargained for.

Another thing we need to work on is our English skills. Teachers and parents often put great emphasis on our English skills especially listening and speaking. I want to be a volunteer in 2008, to be an interpreter. For now, I must do something helpful to improve my spoken English. Rome isn’t build in a day, so is English. It can’t be improved in a day or two. It takes time and energy. There are no shortcuts to improve your spoken English; the most productive way is to grab all opportunities around you to open your mouth. For instance, taking part in all kinds of English contests is a good way, you can meet some excellent contestants, and you can share the experience of learning and some good method of learning. I will keep participating in all English activities to polish up my English. I’m sure by the year of 2008, I will be able to master English well just as my mother tongue.

My Dream
I want to be a scientist in the future. This is my dream. I must work hard for it. Scientists make great contribution to our society. We have TV, computer, train, plane, planet and many other things because of the hard work of scientists. So I want to be a great person as they are. I want to become an aerospace scientist, because I am interested in the outer space very much. The outer space is wonderful and amazing. It must be great if I can be a scientist of this field.
