都含“給”的意思。
give 系常用詞，指“給予”、“授予”、“贈送”、“提供”等，如：

另外它還有引伸意義，如：
A clock gives time.

grant 指“上級對下級的賜予或答應給什么”，如：
grant a pension
賜予養(yǎng)老金。
present 指“正式地給”，即“贈給”，并且所贈之物有一定價值，如：

confer指“經(jīng)批準授予(學位、稱號等)”，如：
confer knighthood
授于爵士。
