once upon a time. there was a house. beside the house there was a bird cage. one day a cat went to eat the bird, so the cat jumped and hit the bird cage. the bird cage fell down to the ground knocking the bird cages door open. the bird then flew away. so the cat started to chase the bird and the dog chased the cat. however the bird flew on top of the tree. so the cat started to climb the tree and the dog barked at the cat. before the cat could reach the bird, the bird flew away. this caused the cat to fall out of the tree. the dog then ran away, the bird quickly flew back into his cage and the man from the house carried him safely home.

In recent years ninny cities are faced with the problem of heavy traffic. People have to waste more time on their way home or to work and even might be involved in an accident. With the development of industry and population expansion, this problem becomes more and more serious.
One solution is to lay down more roads. The solution has many advantages. For example, it can efficiently decrease the number of buses and trucks in many main streets. But it will take up so much land that crowded cities become more crowded. Another solu tion is to open up more bus lines. If more bus lines should be opened up,the number of bicles and cars in the main streets would be greatly decreased. But the disadvantage of this solution is that many people wouldn’t feel so convenient os they used to.
近年來(lái)，許多城市都面臨著交通擁擠這個(gè)問(wèn)題。人們?cè)谏习嗷蚧丶业穆飞喜坏貌焕速M(fèi)許多寶貴的時(shí)間，甚至還會(huì)出車(chē)禍。隨著工業(yè)的.發(fā)展和人口的增長(zhǎng)，這個(gè)問(wèn)題變得越來(lái)越嚴(yán)重。
解決這個(gè)問(wèn)題的一個(gè)辦法是修建更多的道路。這一方法有許多好處。譬如說(shuō)，它可以有效地減少許多干線(xiàn)上的汽車(chē)和卡車(chē)的流量。但是這種方法也會(huì)占有許多土地，使本來(lái)?yè)頂D的城市變得更擁擠。另外一種方法是多開(kāi)辟公共汽車(chē)線(xiàn)路，如果這樣，干線(xiàn)上的自行車(chē)和汽車(chē)的數(shù)量會(huì)大大減少。但這樣做的弊病是許多人會(huì)覺(jué)得不像原來(lái)那樣方便。
In my opinion, the right solution to the problem is the combination of the two, thatis, to lay down more roads in spacious areas and to open up more bus lines in downtown.
依我看，好的解決辦法是二者結(jié)合，就是說(shuō)在寬闊的地區(qū)多修路而在鬧市區(qū)要多開(kāi)辟公共汽車(chē)線(xiàn)路。
