萬(wàn)事萬(wàn)物由方方面面組成，而那個(gè)“男女都一樣”的口號(hào)，只是向女人提出要求，卻沒有相同的口號(hào)要求男人和女人做得一樣：一樣耐心持久地?fù)嵊⒆右粯尤蝿谌卧沟夭俪旨覄?wù);一樣盡心盡責(zé)地伺奉老人。仔細(xì)想想，“男女都一樣”的口號(hào)曾鼓勵(lì)著許多婦女竭力地建樹了和男人一樣的豐功偉績(jī)，同時(shí)，女人卻依然要做那些和男人不一樣的事。其實(shí)，所謂“一樣”的口號(hào)，使女人在做著女人的同時(shí)再做男人;其實(shí)，所謂“一樣”的口號(hào)，讓女人們又給自己加重了一挑擔(dān)子;其實(shí)，女人和男人在根本上還是不一樣的。
【英文譯文】
All things under heaven and earth are made up of different parts, but the slogan "women are as good as men" makes demands on women without making a correspond-ing demand on men to be “just as good as women”：to raise children just as patiently, to do household chores just as uncomplainingly, to care for the old just as dutifully. Come to think of it, the slogan "women are as good as men” has spurred women on to achievements to challenge men’s. But at the same time，women must still do what men do not stoop to. The fact is, “women are as good as men” means that women after doing what women do, must take up another burden. Let's face it, basically women are not as the same as men.

我看不見那個(gè)小子的臉，不知道他臉上的表情，但是從他剛才的話里，我知道對(duì)于他另外有一個(gè)世界存在。沒有家，沒有愛，沒有溫暖，只有一根生活的鞭子在趕他。然而他能夠倔強(qiáng)!他能夠恨!他能夠用自己的兩只手舉起生活的擔(dān)子，不害怕，不悲哀。他能夠做別的生在富裕的環(huán)境里的小孩所不能夠做的事情，而且有著他們所不敢有的思想。生活畢竟是一個(gè)熔爐。它能夠鍛煉出這樣倔強(qiáng)的孩子來。甚至人世間最慘痛的遭遇也打不倒他。
【英文譯文】
I couldn't read his countenance without seeing his face.However, judging from what he had said, he was evidently living in a world of his own-bereft of home, love or warmth, and flogged by the scourge of life. But he acted unyieldingly and was filled with bitter hatred. He was using both hands to bear the burden of life. He was never scared or discouraged. He could achieve what children from well-to-do families could “achieve, and he had ideas that they didn't dare to have. Life is a melting pot which hardens the will of children like him so that they are able to withstand the bitterest blows of life ever.
