Sun Haiying Regrets his Failure to Pass the College Entrance Exam
In 1977, the college entrance exam was resumed in China, which is a lasting memory for a whole generation. In a film entitled College Entrance Exam in 1977, Sun Haiying(孫海英) plays the role of a manager of a factory, who has an unfavorable attitude towards such an exam. But in reality, Sun is always dreaming of going to college. He says, “I took the preparatory exams in 1977 and 1978, but, due to the fact that I didn’t have enough time to study, I failed in all the subjects, with 59 points for Chinese, 39 points for history, 19 points for politics and only 9 points for math.” Even though he didn’t have an opportunity to go to college, Sun regards college education as sacred: “A college is a place for laying down one’s foundation. Otherwise, one can’t get well prepared for one’s future life and work. But, unfortunately, nowadays, many college students do not value such an opportunity.”
As to the phenomenon that many young people want to learn acting, Sun has no idea. He says, “Young people often consider it easy to be an actor. But actually, that is not the case.” Even though Sun believes that it is a very hard thing to be a successful actor, his son has still chosen acting as his major. What’s more, he once failed in the exam. Sun says, “He failed in the exam for the first time because he didn’t study hard enough. Then I talked with him for two hours. In the next year, he passed.”

孫海英遺憾沒(méi)考上大學(xué)
1977年恢復(fù)高考，成為一代人心目中難以磨滅的記憶。在電影《高考·1977》中，孫海英飾演的.是對(duì)高考有著抵觸情緒的工廠廠長(zhǎng)，但孫海英本人卻是一直懷著大學(xué)夢(mèng)。
他回憶說(shuō)：“1977、1978年我都參加了考前預(yù)備試，不過(guò)因?yàn)槠綍r(shí)要工作，沒(méi)有太多時(shí)間復(fù)習(xí)，成績(jī)不怎么樣。中文最高，59分，歷史39分，政治19分，數(shù)學(xué)最低，只有9分，都沒(méi)及格呢�！彪m然沒(méi)有機(jī)會(huì)上大學(xué)，孫海英對(duì)大學(xué)教育還是抱著一種神圣的態(tài)度，“大學(xué)是打基礎(chǔ)的，否則在今后的工作生活中會(huì)準(zhǔn)備不足�，F(xiàn)在的大學(xué)生們都不是很珍惜了�！�
對(duì)于現(xiàn)在許多年輕人都擠破頭要報(bào)考表演專業(yè)的現(xiàn)象，孫海英也顯得很無(wú)奈，“他們覺(jué)得當(dāng)演員很容易，其實(shí)哪有這么簡(jiǎn)單�！彪m說(shuō)孫海英覺(jué)得要做一個(gè)能熬出頭的演員是個(gè)苦差使，但他兒子大學(xué)還是讀了表演專業(yè)，并且還經(jīng)歷過(guò)了一次失敗的高考。孫海英說(shuō)：“他第一次沒(méi)考上，因?yàn)椴挥眯摹Ｎ腋劻?個(gè)小時(shí)的心，第二年他就考上了�！�
