(2)IamsurethatwehaveallbeenaffectedbyeventsinAfghanistanandsaddenedbythecasualtiessufferedbyourforcesservingthere.Ourthoughtsgoouttotheirrelationsandfriendswhohaveshownimmensedignityinthefaceofgreatpersonalloss.
(3)But,wecanbeproudofthepositivecontributionthatourservicemenandwomenaremaking,inconjunctionwithourallies.
(4)Wellover13,000soldiersfromtheUnitedKingdom,andacrotheCommonwealth-Canada,Australia,NewZealandandSingapore-arecurrentlyservinginAfghanistan.
